DO I NEED TO ALTER MY BOAT IN ANY WAY ONCE I HAVE A LIFECORD?

No, not at all!  Lifecord is designed to fit any engine / boat with it’s interchangeable clip heads as long as the boat or engine is currently fitted with an Engine Cut-Off Switch (ECOS). After purchasing your Lifecord all you need to do is simply click in place the appropriate clip head supplied, and you’re ready to go out on the boat! Lifecord works in just the same way as your existing ECOS, it’s just much easier to put on and take off, even when wearing gloves and of course it will remind you to wear it!

HOW DO I CONNECT LIFECORD TO MY BOAT?

Lifecord connects to your boat's engine cut-off switch in a similar way to your existing engine cut-off switch link. When you are ready to start the engine push Lifecord's vessel switch into the boat's ECOS and its engine can now start.

HOW DO I CONNECT TO LIFECORD?

Lifecord should be worn around your leg. Just grab the key with your right hand and swing the clasp under your leg and pull it up with your left hand. Then push the key into the clasp at 90 degrees and let go. Lifecord will snap into a comfortable position around your leg. The first time you use Lifecord you will need to adjust the position of the key on the curly cord so that it's comfortable to wear and with the right amount of tension to hold the cord in place, also ensuring it doesn’t slip down your leg. This adjustment is easily done by holding the clasp in one hand, the battery enclosure in the other and spinning the key along the cord in the required direction. IF I NEED TO, CAN I CONNECT LIFECORD ONE HANDED?

Yes you can. With one hand, push the clasp under your leg and up, then hold it by squeezing your knees with the key entry point face up. Now, with the same hand, grab the key and push it into the clasp and let go. Lifecord will snap into place. To take off Lifecord, simply pull the key to the 90-degree position and push the thumb catch down, the key will release from the clasp.

HOW DO I CONNECT USING THE LIFEJACKET KEY?

Nothing could be simpler! Included with your Lifecord purchase is a lifejacket key, designed to be left permanently attached to your lifejacket. When you’re ready to connect, simply push the clasp on to the lifejacket key at 90-degrees to the key and the clasp snaps into place, hinging on the joint between clasp and key, making it very flexible to use.
