Boating Should Be Fun And Safe!
Did You Know?
In 2023 alone, the Coast Guard reported 3,844 boating accidents, resulting in 564 lives lost, 2,126 injuries, and over $63 million in property damage.
The most heartbreaking part? Most of these tragedies were preventable.
- 75% of boating fatalities were due to drowning—and 87% of those who drowned weren’t wearing a life jacket.
- 145 accidents involved someone striking a boat’s propeller, causing 23 deaths and 133 injuries.
- Where length was known, 4 of every 5 boaters who drowned were using vessels less than 21 feet in length.
Every one of these numbers represents a life forever changed. Boating safety isn’t just a recommendation—it’s a responsibility.
Stay aware. Stay prepared. Stay safe.
The death toll from boating accidents ranks second among deaths in all modes of transportation.
Open motorboats are involved in half of the fatalities recorded.
There are too many boating accidents every year; our goal is to help reduce that number by providing access to Lifecords, Prop Guards, and Lifejackets for Sailing Organizations, coaches, recreational and personal use, and more!

Take the Next Step Toward Safer Boating – Act Today!
Now is the time to prioritize safety—whether for youth programs or personal use. Protect yourself and others by installing a propeller guard on your boat and upgrading your Engine Cut-Off Switch Link (ECOSL).
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, an average of:
🔹 200 propeller accidents occur each year
🔹 185 people are injured by propellers
🔹 20 lives are lost due to propeller-related incidents
That’s 20 preventable tragedies too many. We can do better.
Take action today—because safety on the water starts with you!
